Paddy, BFA No:2443A
Handler; Andrew James
Paddy is a 7 year old Border collie came to us from Rotherham dog rescue and this little fellow has a lot to answer for. He was our second dog but the first one to do flyball he was at a local flyball demonstration in Doncaster when we went to have a look at him and having never seen or heard of flyball it looked very interesting that’s when we decided to take paddy on and as they say the rest is history.
Ollie, BFA No:2443B
Handler; Samantha James
Ollie is a 5 year old merle Border Collie (Bryning old devil moon –‘Ollie’) born November 2004, he was returned to his breeder 2006 where we then took him on as another rescue dog. He turned out to be a natural from the first day we got him he hasn’t took a lot of training he just picked it up and what a star he is.
Barney, BFA No:2443C
Handler; Beth Mackin
Barney is a typically marked black and white 3 year old Border Collie (Bryning Bush Balladeer – Barney) born in December 2006, This little fellow is known to many as the (terror with teeth) the most loving dog I have ever known but if he was a teenager he would probably have an ASBO on each of his legs. As a flyball dog he is very reliable steady paced dog who loves to please.
Max, BFA No:2444A
Handler; Darryl Ogden
Max is a 5 year old red Border collie and was rescued from being PTS at the local dog pound (he was named by my son who was a Max & Paddy fan)
Max took to flyball quite easily and gets very excitable when he is anywhere near a flyball ring

Keston, BFA No:2444B
Handler; Andrew James
Keston is a red 4 year old Border Collie (Bryning Kestrel – ‘Keston’) born in December 2005, Keston came to us via Valgreys border collie rescue centre it took him a while to settle here properly, even to this day he can be quite timid even though he has been with us for the last 2 years. He enjoys his flyball and is ball mad, he would have a ball in his mouth all day.
Charlie, BFA No:2444C
Handler; Samantha James
Charlie is 2 year old merle Border Collie (Bryning Bright Light – ‘Charlie’) born June 2007.
Charlie was bought as a wedding anniversary present for my wife Samantha who took to this little fellow from the 1st day she saw him, it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do to keep it a secret from her as she was told that someone had already bought him, every tournament we went to she had to go and have a cuddle with him, he was finally presented to Samantha at the Red Rose tournament in Blackpool.
Charlie is currently going through all the relevant health tests for becoming a stud dog.

Spike, BFA No:2444D
Handler; Jamie Whitaker
Spike is a 2 year old Border collie merle ( Stillmoor Eco Warrior – ‘Spike’) born June 2007. This lad came to us really by mistake; he was looking for a forever home and was destined to go to my daughter’s who already had a Springer Spaniel but when they met all hell was let loose so he came to stay with us for a while as there where young children in the house. We tried over the coming weeks to get these 2 dogs to bond but it wasn’t going to happen, so he has stayed with us since and what a cracking lad he has turned out to be, he never stops from first thing in the morning to the last thing at night!
Eabha, BFA No:2444E
Handler; Currently Andrew James. Samantha James when ready
Eabha is a 2 year old blue & white Border Collie bitch (Bryning Prime Time – ‘Eabha’) born March 2007. Eabha is owned by her breeder Natalie Holtappel and she is currently staying with us for a while, she is a very timid little girl currently not showing any interest in flyball at all (but we are working on that and making some progress I might add) she will be a flyball dog this time next year!!
Kimba, BFA No:2607A
Handler; Katherine Palin
Kimba is a 6 year old Doberman, I got Kimba as a puppy in 2003 and he started flyball in 2006 and absolutely adores it. Kimba is one of the most laid back dogs around - apart from in the flyball ring where he does his best to drag me round the ring and see how high he can bounce!! Kimba is currently the top flyball Doberman in the country and is the only one to have achieved his Platinum award.
Jasper, BFA No:2607B
Handler; Katherine Palin
Jasper is a 4 year old German Shorthaired Pointer. I got him from HWAR Rescue Centre in 2005 as an extremely scared 6 month old puppy. He was completely terrified of people but also suffered from terrible seperation anxiety. It took a log time to gain his trust and flyball has really been the making of him, being surrounded by people who understand dogs and will give him the space he needs gave him the chance to start trusting people again. Jasper is my forever starter dog as he had a serious injury to one of his elbows which has led to arthritis in that joint so I won't let him do any box work or jump any higher than 7", however he loves flyball so much that I let him go to play starters whenever he is needed to make up a team.
Maddie, BFA No:2607C
Handler; Katherine Palin
Maddie is a 6 year old Saluki, and is the only Saluki in flyball. I rescued her in 2005 in such bad condition that we weren't sure she was going to make it. I started taking her to flyball as a way to socialise her with people and dogs despite the fact that she hated toys/balls and would rather not eat given the choice, which combined with her being very nervous certainly didn't make her the easiest of dogs to train!! I eventually managed to start doing starters competitions with her in 2007 but didn't get any further than that with her until winter 2008 when she got her first flyball points. It took until Winter 2009 for her to get her Flyball Dog award (something I never really believed we would achieve) and now appears to be going from strength to strength and really enjoying herself.
Roi, BFA No:2607D
Handler; Katherine Palin
Roi is a 2 year old collie X, he started flyball in August 2008 when I got him from a rescue centre. He is a complete lunatic with a reputation for poor brakes in the flyball ring!! Roi is a very fast dog who loves to race, almost as much as he loves to bounce on everybody. You can always here Roi coming due to the strange yodelling noise he makes when he is excited!!
Ronnie Rocket,BFA No:2607E
Handler; Katherine Palin
Ronnie Rocket is the newest addition to the team, he is a real Rotherham dog, he was bred by Tanya from Russell and Yoyo (other Rotherham Flyball dogs). He went to Andy & Sam when he was weaned as my Doberman is scared of puppies (daft I know!!) so I had to get them used to each other gradually. He came home at 12 weeks and is a loon, I have never known a dog with so much energy, he never stops bouncing and is completely obsessed with balls. Hopefully he is going to be a cracking little height dog when he starts his flyball career.
Wilfred, BFA No: 1507C
Handler; Katherine Palin
Wilfred came to me in December 2009 from another flyballer who was having problems with him and one of their other dogs fighting, he is a typical little terrier, likes to think he is huge!!! Wilf is a cracking little height dog (runs at 7") who is very reliable and loves to play flyball any chance he gets, he gets on fantastically well with the rest of my pack especially Ronnie Rocket who he plays tug with for hours on end. He is a very affectionate little dog who loves to jump up into your arms for a cuddle unless there is a ball or tugger around to play with.
Libby, BFA No:3946A
Handler; Ellie Gass
This is Libby, she is a 7yr old collie x and i've had her since she was 7 weeks old and was the runt of the accidental litter, she is very much a mummys girl and as a young dog flew through her bronze, silver and gold obedience awards, she is very bright and thrives on doing a job. She has been competing in open competition since Jan 09, she is a bit of a matriarch and tends to keep the boys in place although seems to have a bit of a soft spot Keston (bless).
Keira,BFA No:3946B
Handler; Ellie Gass
Well here we have Kiera, she is a 14 month old B/C and is mad as a hatter, I got her from a lady on lomand team from Glasgow when she was 4 months old, kiera has taken to flyball like a duck to water and flies up and down like her life depends on it, she has only run in 2 starter competitions up to now but wil run quite happily out of netting in training so should move upto open quite happily in March when she is old enough, again very much a mummys girl at home and would get in my skin if she could although round a flyball ring would be anybodys friend if they let her have a go.
Honey, BFA No:4052A
Handler; Vicki Dawe
Honey, Kane's litter sister, competes with Kimba for the "Most Laid Back Dog at Flyball Award." Despite how she sometimes looks, she does actually enjoy Flyball, if she didn't she just wouldn't do it! Honey has been competing in Open since, June 09. She is very reliable and always performs consistently despite any distractions, or even boxloaders forgetting to load the ball, she'll just wait patiently for it!
Kane, BFA No:4053A
Handler; Darryl Ogden
As you can see Kane is Rottweiler, just turned 2. His personality is as big, if not bigger than he is! He loves to show off tricks and really plays to a crowd! Kane has been running in Open since Oct 09, after a long spell in starters, he has serious focus and can only be run by his dad Darryl, as he has a tendancy of bouncing and leaping like a collie, so as you can imagine, it take's a rather strong person to hold back nearly 50kg's of crazed Rottie!!
Jasmine, BFA No: 4053B
Handler; Darryl Ogden
Jasmine has just begun to train for Flyball and is making a promising start. She does various tricks and manoeuvres, she absolutely LOVES to work and would sell her soul for food! Whenever Jasmine gets near the Flyball ring she goes crazy and I know she can't wait to join in! Jasmine has now raced in her first Starter Competition and she was fantastic! now the long wait for her to start competing in Open!
Mia, BFA No: 4652A
Handler; Beth Mackin
This is Mia, she is a young puppy and is owned by Bethany, so far she seems bold and confident, all good signs for a flyball dog in the making!
Mia has now started her basic obedience training and is coming on really well!

McCauley, BFA No:2943A
Handler; Barry Parlett
McCauley is a working sheepdog, born 21/3/2006. Bought from Natallie at anglesey tournament july 2006. He is a loving and friendly dog, he is very good on and off the lead, he is very intellegent, we enjoy him very much; he seems to talk to us when he knows it’s about time to go walkies and bedtime. He loves to flyball and I think everyone knows that by the noise he makes. We named him McCauley as he was the last in the litter to be homed – home alone.
Cleo
Handler; Janet Parlett
Cleo is a blue merle border collie, born 26/6/2007Bought from natallie as anglesey tournament july 2007As she was not old enough to leave her mother we picked her up at a later tournament. She is better of the lead, she enjoys her walks and runs with mccauley.she enjoys flyball but likes to noisey on the way back from the box. She is our baby and loves a cuddle on our knee. She has beautiful blue eyes with black markings like Cleopatra, hense the name Cleo.
Angus BFA No; 3337C
Handler; Janet Sheppard
Angus is a 2yr old merle Border Collie, I got him as a puppy with the hope he would become a flyball dog. Once I got him interested in a ball and he was old enough we started training, luckily he soon got the idea and enjoyed the starter competitions. His 1st open competition was this last summer at Newark then he gained his flyball dog points at Phoenix sports ground in Aug 2009 , now he is gaining more confidence and going from strength to strength. We are both hooked and are now flyball junkies..When he is not competing he loves to chase the pheasants , grouse and hares with his best mate Zebbie a springer spaniel, getting as muddy and wet as they can !
Zebbie,BFA No; 3337B
Handler; John Sheppard
Zebbie is a 3 year old springer spaniel who has quite a laid back attitude to life as long as his meals are served on time…. He loves chasing a ball with his collie mates as well as flushing grouse, pheasants an hares, being built like a world war 2 tank we didn’t think he would ever do fly ball but after giving him a go at beginner training he seems to enjoy himself, we are sure he will add to everyones enjoyment of fly ball as he is a real cartoon of a dog !!!
Rebus, BFA No; 3337D
Handler; To be decided
Rebus is our new addition; a registered sheepdog from Ullswater at this stage he is just being allowed to be a lively playful pup, enjoying his time rounding up the cats. Hopefully with his out going personality and some good training will make a good fly ball dog.
Nell, BFA No:1138A
Nell is one of the easiest and most loveable dog to own. She can be quite sensitive and doesn't like think she's done anything wrong but can also be quite laid back. She's not as ball orientated as Hope but does enjoys her flyball. Nell's passion is water and swimming and retrieving her water ball, she's so fond of water that it's got her in trouble a couple of times like the time she launched herself into the River Avon in Stratford and had to be pulled out, quite scary really but it hasn't put her off. She's very food orientated and know all the friendly treat suppliers when on a walk.
Hope, BFA No:1137A
Handler; Val Ranson
Hope will be 10yrs old on the 4th of July (America's Indepence Day) and that sums up her personality. She is totally obsessed with a ball and would chase one all day if she could, even on a walk she's constantly on the go and if she can't have a ball she will find a stick for to be thrown, if I don't she will find some unsuspecting walker to do it for her. I started flyball with her when she was 18mths old and she took to it like a duck to water and she lives and breathes it. She' loves to be around people and likes nothing better than to lie at my feet in front of the fire. Her and Nell my other collie get on fine together but she's pathetically jealous of the cat and tones up her herding skills trying to keep her away from me.
Bailey BFA No:
Handler; Dawn Merrington
Bailey is a 7 year old chocolate labrador. He is an extremely laid back labrador who does everything that is asked of him. He has been competing in flyball for the last 2 years & gained his Silver Award at the end of 2009. He takes everything in his stride whether it be trudging round the country to different competitions or just doing his favourite past time & lounging about on the settee all day.
Harley (Mongoose) BFA No:
Handler;
Harley is a 2 year old border collie. He, like Bailey, is very laid back which is quite unusual for a Collie but can adapt to any situation. He has been competing in flyball since he was old enough to join starters but previously attended obedience classes which I'm sure helped him along his way so quickly in his flyball career. As soon as Harley was old enough he moved out of starters straight into open classes where he has rarely put a paw wrong. Harley will run in any position within the team whether it be 1st or last dog without a problem but I enjoy running him best as 1st dog. At the end of 2009 he gained his Flyball Dog Advanced award after only a few months & he also sired his first litter of pups out of which we we have his son & double; little Sydney who looking at the size of his paws isn't going to be little for that long.
Sidney (Mongoose) BFA No:
Handler;
Hi I'm Sidney and as you've probably guessed I am Harleys son. I am 4 months old & apparently when I grow into my paws I should be a good flyball dog like my dad. My mum also does flyball & she too is fast she runs for Doncaster Bellestars so between em both I got a lot to live up to, there's already arguments in our house who's gonna run me but for the time being I'm just going to enjoy watching on the sidelines all summer at shows & enjoy being a puppy.
Sonny BFA No:
Handler;
Sonny is a 6 year old liver & white Springer Spaniel. He is a one dog wrecking machine , that also includes trying to wreck himself. After 2 years of recovery from various injuries has been given a clean bill of health from the vets & hopefully will compete again at flyball. He will be another "forever starter dog" due to previous injuries just so he doesn't feel left out anymore but we're sure there's a lot of fun to be had with him. Sonny has a massive personality that just makes you smile with everything that he does. He loves his tennis ball and will play all day as long as you keep throwing it for him.
