Paddy, BFA No: 2443A Paddy has now retired from flyball and just doing starters.
Handler; Andrew James
Paddy is a 7 year old Border collie came to us from Rotherham dog rescue and this little fellow has a lot to answer for. He was our second dog but the first one to do flyball he was at a local flyball demonstration in Doncaster when we went to have a look at him and having never seen or heard of flyball it looked very interesting that’s when we decided to take paddy on and as they say the rest is history.
Ollie, BFA No: 2443B
Handler; Samantha James
Ollie is a 5 year old merle Border Collie (Bryning old devil moon –‘Ollie’) born November 2004, he was returned to his breeder 2006 where we then took him on as another rescue dog. He turned out to be a natural from the first day we got him he hasn’t took a lot of training he just picked it up and what a star he is.
Barney, BFA No: 2443C
Handler; Andrew James
Barney is a typically marked black and white 3 year old Border Collie (Bryning Bush Balladeer – Barney) born in December 2006, This little fellow is known to many as the (terror with teeth) the most loving dog I have ever known but if he was a teenager he would probably have an ASBO on each of his legs. As a flyball dog he is very reliable steady paced dog who loves to please.
Max, BFA No: 2444A
Handler; Samantha James
Max is a 5 year old red Border collie and was rescued from being PTS at the local dog pound (he was named by my son who was a Max & Paddy fan)
Max took to flyball quite easily and gets very excitable when he is anywhere near a flyball ring

Keston, BFA No: 2444B
Handler; Andrew James
Keston is a red 4 year old Border Collie (Bryning Kestrel – ‘Keston’) born in December 2005, Keston came to us via Valgreys border collie rescue centre it took him a while to settle here properly, even to this day he can be quite timid even though he has been with us for the last 2 years. He enjoys his flyball and is ball mad, he would have a ball in his mouth all day.
Charlie, BFA No: 2444C
Handler; Samantha James
Charlie is 2 year old merle Border Collie (Bryning Bright Light – ‘Charlie’) born June 2007.
Charlie was bought as a wedding anniversary present for my wife Samantha who took to this little fellow from the 1st day she saw him, it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do to keep it a secret from her as she was told that someone had already bought him, every tournament we went to she had to go and have a cuddle with him, he was finally presented to Samantha at the Red Rose tournament in Blackpool.
Charlie has just passed all the relevant health tests for becoming a stud dog.

Spike, BFA No: 2444D
Handler; Andrew James
Spike is a 2 year old Border collie merle ( Stillmoor Eco Warrior – ‘Spike’) born June 2007. This lad came to us really by mistake; he was looking for a forever home and was destined to go to my daughter’s who already had a Springer Spaniel but when they met all hell was let loose so he came to stay with us for a while as there where young children in the house. We tried over the coming weeks to get these 2 dogs to bond but it wasn’t going to happen, so he has stayed with us since and what a cracking lad he has turned out to be, he never stops from first thing in the morning to the last thing at night!
Eabha, BFA No: 2444E
Handler; Samantha James
Eabha is a 2 year old blue & white Border Collie bitch (Bryning Prime Time – ‘Eabha’) born March 2007. Eabha is owned by her breeder Natalie Holtappel and she is currently staying with us for a while, she is a very timid little girl currently not showing any interest in flyball at all (but we are working on that and making some progress I might add) she will be a flyball dog this time next year!!
Eabha is now happily running in Starter competitions and is going from strength to strength!

Drew, BFA No: 2443D
Handler; Andrew James
Drew is the latest addition to the James' household. He has only just begun his flyball training (learning to turn on the box and do runbacks) as he is still settling in and finding his feet. It may be a little while before Drew gains the confidence he needs to become a steady flyball dog.
Libby, BFA No: 3946A
Handler; Ellie Gass
This is Libby, she is a 7yr old collie x and i've had her since she was 7 weeks old and was the runt of the accidental litter, she is very much a mummys girl and as a young dog flew through her bronze, silver and gold obedience awards, she is very bright and thrives on doing a job. She has been competing in open competition since Jan 09, she is a bit of a matriarch and tends to keep the boys in place although seems to have a bit of a soft spot Keston (bless).
Keira, BFA No: 3946B
Handler; Ellie Gass
Well here we have Kiera, she is a B/C and is mad as a hatter, I got her from a lady on lomand team from Glasgow when she was 4 months old, kiera has taken to flyball like a duck to water and flies up and down like her life depends on it, she runs in open competitions, again very much a mummys girl at home and would get in my skin if she could although round a flyball ring would be anybodys friend if they let her have a go.
McCauley, BFA No: 2923A
Handler; Barry Parlett
McCauley is a working sheepdog, born 21/3/2006. Bought from Natallie at anglesey tournament july 2006. He is a loving and friendly dog, he is very good on and off the lead, he is very intellegent, we enjoy him very much; he seems to talk to us when he knows it’s about time to go walkies and bedtime. He loves to flyball and I think everyone knows that by the noise he makes. We named him McCauley as he was the last in the litter to be homed – home alone.
Cleo, BFA No: 2924A
Handler; Janet Parlett
Cleo is a blue merle border collie, born 26/6/2007. Bought from Natallie at anglesey tournament July 2007. As she was not old enough to leave her mother we picked her up at a later tournament. She is better off the lead, she enjoys her walks and runs with Mccauley.she enjoys flyball but likes to noisey on the way back from the box. She is our baby and loves a cuddle on our knee. She has beautiful blue eyes with black markings like Cleopatra, hense the name Cleo.
Nell, BFA No: 1138A
Handler; Val Ransom
Nell is one of the easiest and most loveable dog to own. She can be quite sensitive and doesn't like think she's done anything wrong but can also be quite laid back. She's not as ball orientated as Hope but does enjoys her flyball. Nell's passion is water and swimming and retrieving her water ball, she's so fond of water that it's got her in trouble a couple of times like the time she launched herself into the River Avon in Stratford and had to be pulled out, quite scary really but it hasn't put her off. She's very food orientated and know all the friendly treat suppliers when on a walk.
Hope, BFA No: 1137A
Handler; Val Ranson
Hope will be 10yrs old on the 4th of July (America's Indepence Day) and that sums up her personality. She is totally obsessed with a ball and would chase one all day if she could, even on a walk she's constantly on the go and if she can't have a ball she will find a stick for to be thrown, if I don't she will find some unsuspecting walker to do it for her. I started flyball with her when she was 18mths old and she took to it like a duck to water and she lives and breathes it. She' loves to be around people and likes nothing better than to lie at my feet in front of the fire. Her and Nell my other collie get on fine together but she's pathetically jealous of the cat and tones up her herding skills trying to keep her away from me.
Conner BFA No: 1540B
Handler; Sue Smith
Connor is 7 years old and has proved that you don't actually need a handler he is quite happy to run all day on his own! A collie/working sheepdog he loves everything about flyball and you will hear him singing when he is not running just to let you know he is waiting to have another go.
Indy BFA No: 1540A
Handler; Sue Smith
Indy has just reached her Ice Blue Moon Award, 20,000 points which brought a tear to my eye as she first ran in the team with Blue the dog (legend) who it was named after. She is 10 years old and affectionately known as a giant jack russell. She was rescue from the RSPCA and came from Wales in the foot and mouth year.
Rory BFA No: 1540C
Handler; Sue Smith
RORY a cross terrier/whippet, is a rescue from Blackpool and is coming on leaps and bounds in starters and I have great hopes for his future. He is just 3 years old and has grown from a very timid and frightened dog to a much happier and friendlier dog a lot of which is due to the ability of flyball to allow dogs to have fun, excercise and learn social skills.
Sky BFA No: 1712C
Handler : Ian Hendry
AKA Sky Blue
Sky spends his time stalking me at home (Moe) wherever I am he is right behind and has been known to scare me half to death by jumping at me in the shower then running off!!!
He LOVES flyball and once when a rather large Collie ran across into his lane he jumped over the collie and completed his run.
Sky has been the highest scoring English Cocker spaniel for the last 3 years and was the first Cocker Spaniel to reach the Ice Blue Moon award. I am very proud to say that he has just achieved his Chic Chicana award (40 thousand points). Sky has come home from the last 2 British Championships with a Divisional winner’s trophy, he was also height dog for “The Marnicks” who won Div 6 at the European Flyball champhionships in 2010. This year we competed in a team called Multi Mix and won Div 8 Speed trials and Double Elimination, coming home with 2 trophy’s. He is “my boy” and I love him to bits BUT much to my annoyance he prefers to do flyball with his Dad and runs nearly half a second faster for Ian than me. So Ian is his regular handler whilst I stand at the side and watch my flying Spaniel.

Storm BFA No: 1713A
Handler : Maureen Hendry
AKA Stormin Norman
Storm is our big cuddly Merle. We should have called him “Nudge” as if he wants your attention he keeps nudging you until he gets it no matter how hard you try to ignore him. Storm loves flyball although when we first got him we didn’t think we would ever get him to like a tennis ball. I think we have solved that problem though as we have both have had tennis balls dropped in our dinner and drinks before now. I have even found a tennis ball in the toilet and in my briefcase when I have got to work. Storm isn’t the fastest collie and because of a high hip score he always runs with a height dog, he is very reliable and only runs out if something is wrong. Storm runs for Ian or myself but will run for anyone who will play ball at the end of his flyball run.

Quiz BFA No: 1713B
Handler : Maureen Hendry
AKA Quizeee Whizz
Quiz was originally bought as Ian’s 40th birthday present. But after training her I simply couldn’t hand her over, Ian very kindly lets me run her, seems a fair swap seeing as he now runs Sky.
Quiz was a natural to flyball and seemed to know all about the game before we taught her. Her first open tournament was the European Flyball Champs in 2010. I was so nervous I was on the verge of tears all day. One of my friends that day said “just let her go, trust your dog she is great, don’t you cock it up by letting her down” She didn’t put a paw wrong all day and we won Division 6 at the European Flyball Champs 2010, she was also part of Multi Mix UK who won Division 8 Speed trials and Double elimination at this year’s European Championships held in Germany.
Quiz can only be described as a Princess she was once sick in her cage and I found her squeezed into the far corner trying to get away from it and she wouldn’t step over it to come out of her cage. I had to clean it up first. Her favourite pastime when not doing flyball is cuddling up on the sofa or throwing a ball at you while you’re trying to watch TV. You simply can’t be angry with Quiz if you were her world would crumble. But then I have never had to shout at her she is just so good all the time.

Puzzle BFA No: 1713C
Handler : Ian Hendry
AKA Puzzie Wuzz
Puzzle is Quiz’s niece and real handful. She has the Princess gene like Quiz but crossed with a really mischievous streak. She makes life interesting and is always up to something. Puzzle has just started her flyball training and is showing great potential. This time Ian is doing the training and will run her in competition. Her favourite past time when not doing flyball is digging holes in the garden and jumping on you when your asleep on the sofa. After a hard day causing chaos she gives you the best cuddle and falls asleep.
Puzzle has now competed in her first starters competition and I’m pleased to say the training has paid off and she is showing great potential.

Revel BFA No: 3460a

Holly BFA No: 2850b
Handler : Rebecca Liversigde
Blue and white border collie around 3 years old as she is a rescue dog, after having bad start in life she was very nervous of people and dogs, she is a completely a different dog now and actively goes looking for cuddles and strokes, Scatty doesn't even come anywhere near her personality she's nuts and ball mad with very limited attention span but we are working on that
